Carly Rae Jepsen – Dedicated | Album Review
Carly Rae Jepsen is something of an unofficial mascot for Culture Hash, we wrote one of our first ever posts about her all the way back in 2012. That was a more primative time, and expressions of appreciation for her music was harshly met with stern condemnation.
I’d like to think that in 2019 Carly Rae is regarded as a credible artist, behind one of the best Pop albums of the decade.
This week we’re looking at Carly Rae Jepsen’s first album since Emotion, this one is entitled Dedicated and continues in the latter’s exploration of throwback Pop production. Again Jack Antonoff is involved in the production; sadly big name Emotion collaborators such as Rostam Batmanglij, Dev Hynes and Greg Kurstin aren’t present on Dedicated.
