The Kooks – Let’s Go Sunshine | Video Review

Let’s Go Sunshine is the fifth studio album from Brighton’s very own The Kooks, a mainstay of the UK Indie Rock scene since the mid 2000s. In the four years since Listen, The Kooks have enjoyed a hiatus, where they released a greatest hits album and toured as a stopgap.

Let’s Go Sunshine has been met with a mixed critical reception due to a dearth of fresh ideas. The majority of the project sees the band attempt to marry a Garage Rock interpretation of Indie with Stadium-style choruses. For the most part this fusion has been executed much better by other acts and suggests that after five albums The Kooks are out of ideas.
