DeJ Loaf – “Go DeJ Go” Vol. 1 | Video Review

After a quiet 2018 Dej Loaf has returned with a new project, a 6-track EP stuffed with grimy Detroit Hip-Hop. Go Dej Go, Vol. 1 feels like a back-to-basics move from Dej Loaf after some experimentation with R&B on 2017’s collaborative mixtape, Fuck A Friend Zone with R&B singer Jacquees.

It is pleasing to hear Dej Loaf stick to Hip-Hop on this project and avoid diluting her style with trendy ideas like Afrobeat and Latino sounds. This project is straight-up Detroit Hip-Hop with no guest features.
